Thread: Notice served

This is a notice to anyone who reads the drama section that the posts there are getting to the point that many of the high admins would prefer to just shut the forum down, and remove any and all political, religious, and drama discussion from TPG. At this point you, the general member, have two options. You can blame others for your actions, and continue to fling poo all over the forums, and see how that turns out, or you can realize that even if we disagree we can still be at least somewhat polite and decent to each other.

At a minimum the blatant pot stirring and shit slinging will be cut out. If you can't control yourself, then you will be removed.

I will add that we don't have a hard, fast set of rules for this section. We have tried loosening things up... tightening things up... hiding the forum... loosening things up again... And it's a select few that cause the problems.

Don't ask for a hard line in the sand set of rules. You aren't going to get them. Consider it a very soft line... on a beach... that moves with the tide. So if you are tap dancing on the line you might find that it has moved on you and you can sit your ass on the sidelines and watch the other kids pass the conch shell around. We're not going to let you kill Piggy and light the island on fire any more. (google it...)

If you don't, as Civil said, realize that you can disagree and still be polite and decent to each other then you are going to find that the good cop/bad cop routine is over and you are left with bad cop/worse cop.

Perhaps we can make a rule that you get one zing for every hour playing in-game squaded with that person.

I have enjoyed some of the discussions here, but it is becoming a pain to contribute and to mod.

I'd like to apologize for my rantings in the forum.

I'd also like to share my serving of crow that I'm currently eating. I was not aware that the forum in question was hidden by default to our new members and guests.
I'll gladly remove myself from the section and would just like to state, for the record, that most my rant's/complaints have been in regard to new members/guests thinking that forum represents our community.

I have been corrected, and I thank the community members who reached out to me in this regard.

It takes a big man to flat out admit he was wrong. No harm no foul in my opinion.
