Re: Your Favorite Director at it again.
I think he is about as anti-American as one can get. BUT, if the questions he raises white exercising his right to free speech sparks\ rational debates and insight into the causes and solutions for gun violence, then i am all for it. If he is correct in his assumptions and it leads to better awareness and less deaths, then great! If exposing him as a fraud, or troll extraordinaire has the same effect, then that's great too. That's the beauty of free speech.

Re: Your Favorite Director at it again.
I stopped caring about what Moore has to say on pretty much every subject, years ago.
I'd be amazed if he still has an audience.Last edited by Guyver; 11-07-13 at 07:28 PM. Reason: typo

Re: Your Favorite Director at it again.
People will always choose to believe what the want to believe, see what the want to see, and make decisions based on information they think is 'correct'. Michael Moore, while provocative, usually only presents a view which espouses his own ideas and opinions on how the world SHOULD work. Yay for him.
The disconnect is that how is should work, and how it actually works are so far removed from one another, they are comical in contrast. I would love for the world to magically have no more guns. Then we could find better ways of killing one another. But since that fairy tale will never exist, then you have to operate in the reality that guns do exist, bad people exist, racists people with guns exist and there is no law that will ever undue that. For this reason, the best way to make sure your way of life is protected is to even the playing field and grab your own gun. This works especially well in the wake of corrupt governments.
Guns are an invention that for better or worse, are here to stay. All of you who secretly (not so secret in these forums) hold to the notion that we should be creating policies aimed at reducing the number of guns because you think it will reduce the number of deaths is living in a fairy tale. It's time that people like Michael Moore put his big boy pants on and start living in the real world where we need real solutions to real problems, instead of acting like another law is going to fix it.
