Your right, those "shitty stations," are reporting colder temperatures making the claims bullshit:
http://www1.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/u...e-etal2010.pdf
(It isn't letting me copy/paste from the results but basically they found poor sites under reported maximum temperatures).
Also the study points that temperatures are taken in the morning.

Which I agree with. What is hard to validate is how much we contribute to the global warming. Is it solely our use of fossil fuels? Or is it something that is natural? It's hard to tell. I'm not denying that warming happens. But to the degree that man is the sole reason, is not 100% supported. I don't think we have the tools necessary to adequately make that statement.
There is a lot of supposition on both sides. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle. But to create policy based on it, goes too far. That's where the kick back comes from.deathgodusmc liked this post

My opinion, not really backed by anything. It's the use of fossil fuels, shitty designed cities (*cough* most of the phoenix area *cough*), shitty public transportation, destruction of ecosystems (again, hello phoenix area!), and so on. It could be argued that 2 of those (Shitty design, shitty public transportation) are a part of the cause of the first (use of fossil fuels).

I agree. I think it's all of that combined. I think we can, and more importantly, should continue to push for cleaner technology. Forget what it does to the earth, you're breathing that shit into your lungs. Anyone that's flown into LAX knows that I'm talking about. We all need to take responsibility and begin to make changes.
Nearly 100% of medical plastics from from oil. That will never change until we want it to. Fracking, while an economic boom, is still dangerous. It contaminates ground water. You can literally pull that shit out of the ground and light water on fire. So it's not realistic to say that man isn't directly involved in the corruption of the planet.
Where I draw the line is where we create expensive, scare tactic based policy with no real goal to stop it, but rather to make money off of regulating it in the name of "conservation".SpecOpsScott, Red_Lizard2 liked this post
