I remembered him having been a UDT guy, so I looked at his Wiki page to confirm. He never saw combat? How does a UDT guy manage to not see combat at all for half a dozen years during the Vietnam War?

And his service isn't in question. Even I will give him that. He was UDT, and volunteered to put his Country before his own life.

I will add though, that he is no longer invited to any SEAL reunions because of the embarrassment this lawsuit has brought. Jesse tried to use that in court as evidence of the "damage" he has been caused, but Mrs. Kyle's attourneys ate that shit up, and spit it back in his face. They had a letter (that Jesse's side introduced, and referenced as evidence) that stated that he was being shunned specifically because of the lawsuit, and not because of the reference in the book. Jesse is hated more everyday because of what he does, and not because of what people say about him. Jesse is, and always will be, his own worst enemy.

We would never know. UTD is a SEAL and most of their missions are not only classified but most likely come with a nondisclosure. Even if he did see combat if it was all those type missions he would have to say he didn't see combat or he could be thinking of he's never been in a fire fight or he went thru the training and his unit was just not utilized doing his time in service.

Personality i have no feelings in regard to him but if he is telling the truth about whats going on then yeah he's got a legit case.

UDT was the precursor. They did the same training for the most part as SEALs were based off of UDT. They were largely separate until all UDT teams were folded into SEALs in the early 80s.

I only brought it up as the case reminded me that the punching incident took place in a bar that caters mainly to SEALs/UDTs.
