I disagree with taking the kids out of school, considering the families are likely at least indirectly paying for the schools anyways. Can understand not letting them get most federal programs though (granted some do file taxes, illegally, but generally they probably aren't paying for the programs).

Assume Xav or someone else will know, but how corrupt are Central American governments? If they are fairly honest folk then maybe sending a bunch of money might work, if they aren't then likely you'll have another version of Africa (if I recall one of the issues with giving aid to Africa is mass corruption, leading to the aid not going where it should).

We do need to find a way to make it easier to enter the country legally, that'd probably cut down on some of the people entering illegally.

Probably was something else I was going to add but forgot sooo...oh well.

EDIT: The other benefit of getting something done for reform, that politicians seem to care little about, is it removes some of the hatred for being tough. The less reason to have empathy for people crossing the less people are going to think it isn't right/cruel/whatever to ship them back etc.

Yeah but its been done before. You need 890,526 pallets of cinder blocks, and 247,396 bags of mortar. Of course those are net with a 0% overage. That translates to $106,875,000 for the cinder block and $2,473,960 for the mortar. The header is a harder one to do i can get you an answer tomorrow if you like by calling my builder but for now we'll call it 10,000,000. We'll throw in an additional 50 million for unknowns such as frames. They're reusable so its not a waste. So the wall will cost right around 170 million if we use prison labor or we could even use the illegals then toss them on the other side right before we finish.

Deathgod......Give us a moat option. And since our military rocks, we could fill it with sharks with lasers on their heads. Better make that moat saltwater.
LOL moat. Escavations can be pretty costly but are we doing fresh or salt water? are we putting the required predatory animals in said water?

Damn i should have finished reading before i typed. I found it funny and just went to it.

Meh....You kinda missed the point. Taking the kids out of the schools would go hand in hand with firing Mom and Dad from the jobs they most likely gained with illegal documents. Maybe Dad does some time, or gives-up the document forger before he is allowed to join his family back in wherever.

The point was more about making it so hard to live here illegally, that eventually, less people would be trying to sneak in.

But also agreed....Making it tougher to be here also needs to be coupled with streamlining our system of legal intake. It needs to be more accessable, and attainable in a reasonable amount of time.

As long as we are using prison labor sure. The problem with government jobs like this is no one on will be making less then 25 an hour and the crew leads wont be under 35 an hours.

We´ve got fresh water bull sharks in Nicaragua, I shit you not. They can be shipped over there and start a captivity reproduction program
