I would assume top shelf. Big sharks. Bigger lasers.

I'm thinking we could utilize the Rio Grande, but we would need some salt. Also, some coral would be lovely. We can use words like "green", "organic", ans "sustainable", and every prematurely gray-haired 45 year-old in Birkenstocks will be hocking their Prius to donate to the cause.

So giving them money would probably end up with the same problems and less money for us. Don't think sanctions would work since I'd assume if the governments could manage the gang problems, they'd do it to begin with.

The point was more about making it so hard to live here illegally, that eventually, less people would be trying to sneak in.

But also agreed....Making it tougher to be here also needs to be coupled with streamlining our system of legal intake. It needs to be more accessable, and attainable in a reasonable amount of time.
Kicking the kids out of school doesn't really make it harder for the parents though imo. Plus the better educated the kids are, maybe they'll keep the shithole from continuing in C.A./Mexico at least a little bit *shrugs*. I'm not sure that harder will reduce it too much, hell crossing the border is pretty hard and can be expensive but people still do it all the time. We're underestimating how shitty parts of Mexico are and how shitty Central America is.

Edited this into my post but other posts had already been made, so separating it into another post:
Also I think the DREAM Act is actually a really good idea, I know some here hate the college option (imo better college educated then tomato pickers). Perhaps make it so you can get citizenship if you graduate from something dealing with STEM (I think that's the right abbreviation?). Win-Win for both sides, we get more STEM folk we need, they get the citizenship they (might) want.

Our moat will celebrate diversity with laser-headed man-eaters from all parts of the globe.

Ok average cost of excavation is about 350 a cubic yard. Seeing as we're going down instead of up we need to go wide and deep. Going with 50 ft wide and 50 ft deep your talking about 488,889 cubic yards of dirt per mile. Thats a total of 909,333,540 from end to end. $318,266,739,000 to dig the moat providing the price doesn't go up and down with type of ground and depth. I already know baby sharks are about 2 grand a piece for the aggressive ones.

On the upside of doing the moat we'll finally have enough earth to bury some of our shit hole cities.

Hmmm....less than half a trillion. Maybe Barry should fire-up the presses.

I suppose the sharks will be extra. Maybe some Sea Horses with flashlights to start with, and we can work our way up.

New Orleans could double its footage above sea-level to two. We could also make Detroit a giant hill. Come ski Detroit!
