We shouldn't need them in the first place.

If we make the US tough and uninviting to those who are illeagal, we won't have people coming in droves. Our whole problem is that we have no border security (which is trouble on many levels, not just about immagrants), and the whole of South America knows that if you show-up on the doorstep, entry is easy at that point. And Lord knows that once they are in, it's even tougher, if not impossible to get them out.Take that away, and we wouldn't need to build ghettos.

I donīt believe in giving things away for free. Itīs bad business. Illegal immigration wonīt go away. And weīll keep spending billions of dollars on border patrol, security checkpoints, surveillance etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

So you are saying that it's agood thing that good people from shit countries are leaving them rather than fixing their own home? Without these good people, their countries are going to be that much worse, and are just that much further from improvement. By giving them easy access (such as we have), we are part of the problem.

It's not that I blame them.....I certainly don't. I'd leave too (just as I wouldn't decide to homestead in the Gaza Strip). However, South America isn't the only shithole we are getting people from, but those are the people jumping the line. Good people or not, we need to have them go about their entry legally. And yes.....part of that is on us to make that process MUCH better than it is, but that certainly doesn't mean we have to allow an invasion in the mean time.

Not saying it would be simple, but first and foremost no proof of citizenship then no free healthcare. Second, crack down on businesses that employ illegals. Once there are no jobs or healthcare the prospect becomes less desirable. Note I didn't say not desirable. I too know multiple people that have crossed the border illegally. I worked in roofing and construction, so I saw it all the time. I know one group of guys from somewhere in South America. They got drunk, started a commotion in their apartment, and the cops showed up. They were shipped to Mexico and dropped off who knows where. They were back in America and working within 2 weeks.

The system is broken. If we spent the funds we are already spending on a better system then we could make an impact without increasing funds. Hell, cut the TSA in half, and use that money on something useful.

Show me where I said this, please?

By giving them easy access (such as we have), we are part of the problem.
Have I said anything about giving them easy access?

Good people or not, we need to have them go about their entry legally.

If we made it next to impossible to live here illeagally, we wouldn't need to focus on the border as much as we do now. By the time we decide that stopping them at the border is our last line of defense (which is where we are now), it's too late. We all know that we have to focus on border security now because as soon as they get 50ish miles from it, they are new home free.

Nor for nothing but lets also remember the people coming here are the same ones that fucked up their own country or at least decided it was a better idea to go fuck someplace else up versus fix theirs.

Right...and who provides the money to the state that foots the bill?
