Finally some balls from a head of state!
Jordan's King Abdullah II, a former commander of his country's special forces , angrily vowed to bombard the Islamic State until his military runs "out of fuel and bullets"

Re: Bout time.....
I don't know a lot about the guy, but what I do know I like.
Jordan has been a bright spot in a dark place for a while. They're not secular or a democracy, but they've moved further in that direction than anyone else in the region and Abdullah II (and his father) get a lot of credit for that.
It's nice to see a local nation stand up like this. I hope they find the asses that need kicking and take care of that business. He's got a larger problem too; he needs neighbors that are (a) stable, (b) friendly, and (c) not evil.
So good luck to him.
I know it's for local consumption, but this:
... is hilarious to me.

Re: Bout time.....
it's even funnier when you consider that someone was probably on their knees to take that picture...
In the Voyager picture he's standing in front of Harry Kim... Played by Garrett Wang... who was 5' 10" tall. He's at LEAST 6 inches shorter than that. So I'd say he's no taller than 5' 4" tall.

Re: Bout time.....
Oh, I think he has a legit claim to military badassery. His résumé is pretty impressive.
But now he's a head of state. When presidents (or prime ministers, or whatever) dress up in a military costume it strikes me as fake; a pose. Putin's bare-chested photo-ops are the same thing. I guess there are enough people who are impressed by it (which is all the reason a politician needs), but it's just so affected I can't help but laugh.
