Obama was right to chastise the Supreme Court justices

"A new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds that the vast majority of Americans are vehemently opposed to a recent Supreme Court ruling that opens the door for corporations, labor unions, and other organizations to spend money directly from their general funds to influence campaigns."

It seems not only did Obama have it right but that the majority of Americans agree with him. One of the problems with our political system is that business groups are allowed to influence elections. It's a government of the people, by the people and for the people. When it is steed by business, the people's wishes get neglected.

Good. And their outrage will have no affect on the Supreme Courts Future Rulings at all. Thats how the system is supposed to work.

Wouldn't be exxon anyway. They would try to be sneeky about and say bp seeing as they own both.

Perhaps the new poll numbers show that McCain might have been onto something.

I don't vote for anything higher then state level just on the principal that normally both of the candidates that the media gives us aren't worth the gas money to get to a polling sight. But I can't help but say this,

Is it foresight, or, wait is it.....foreskin, that is a quality we want in a president? I can't remember.

Actually I believe that his scare tactic scenario he used in his little stunt were proven to be false in these forums, with the specific verbiage of the law being quoted.

So then we drift into opinion. It is my opinion that it was unprofessional and sure as hell wasn't the right forum. It is also my opinion that cheerleading for him isn't doing shit for his ratings. I also base this on opinion polls.

because you don't like what, specifically about it?

What Obama said it was, or what the ruling, and the grounds of it, said it was?

Blind....blind blind followers. The supreme court doesn't do stuff for fun. It's easy to poke fun at them like you would a clown senator like John Edwards, or a nut job like Ron Paul, or a president like Obama or Bush or Clinton. But they aren't in the kind of games the elected branches are.

So if you "don't like the ruling"...why is that? And ....did you feel that way BEFORE Obama told you to feel that way?

I believe the ability for Ford or Exxon or anyone to put in millions upon millions of dollars to get "their guy" elected...is the dumbest thing ever. It cheapens our political system and quite frankly...makes me wonder why it's even worth me ever voting again. My two cents.
