Re: Border Patrol Agent kills 15 year old boy
The cartels arent exactly hiding. The military doesnt have a choice on where they are. In case you missed it though te middle east has its own drug problem. Maybe if border patrol and ins spent as much time scouring the border as they do sitting under over passes there wouldnt be a problem but hey thats just my observation.

Not really, last i checked they had these things called boats that can go over water... they don't have to go by land. And besides, even if we did take it over, it would remain a shithole for at least a couple of years, and as long as it's still shit down their they'll keep moving north for jobs and continue causing problems in the states.
I still vote for nuking the border. Lets see them try to run through radiation."Murder and marriage aren't too much unlike each other, one ends your life, and the other is a crime"

The middle east has many problems that should be addressed by their own govt....However, the real DRUG problem that affects the United States is to the South and the North....
Oh, and the INS is no more by the way...and I guarantee I spend my time guarding our nations borders the best I can...

They are no more? Then why do they still have a web site? Or maybe your just reffering to the acronym change. They are still around. I just cant figure out why they ins and border patrol only sit where there is never going to be an issue. I'm not saying you aren't doing your job but over all both groups have an epic fail.
You dont think the drugs out of the middle east are a concern? They are only the largest opium supplier but i guess thats no big deal.
Just how is their own government going to address their problems? Seems like a good idea at least until you think about how its entirely corrupt. But sure let the people suffer because we have our own issues. Our military is being paid wether they sit on base or in iraq. They made that chose and if the greater good means we have to go somewhere to help those in need then thats exactly where we should be.
Everyone wants to talk about how we need to be the ones in the fore front and not compare ourselves to countries like mexico but as soon as we are doing that everyone looses their nerve. Well it's time to nut up. We are needed in those regions not just for the general populace of those countries but for the greater good of every free nation. Terrorists dont just strike here they strike where ever they can and in most cases that means it isnt going to be here.
You dont think thats true? Then take a look at how many different countries have supplied troops and equipment to take this fight to the enemy. Do you honestly think so many different countries would chip in if it was a worthless cause?
So no our borders with mexico is not our biggest issue at the moment nether is the drug trade coming from it. But i stand by my privious statement 100% if the people who were deligated with the job of securing our borders had been doing just that the problem would be no where remotely near where it is right now. I know if i had 12 to 14 million mistakes while doing my job i would have to fire myself.
Maybe its time we took border patrol and immigration out of government employee hands and put it into contractors. Put a price on every head just like we do with every square foot of a building and see how many get caught.

The real drug problem that affects the United States is in said country. If the US didn't supply an insatiable, and very rich market, there'd be no problem. South, and North will always be a 'problem' so long as there is a demand. Place the blame where you want, but there's no real solution other than an internal one, considering US dollars support the external drug traffic. Blaming a tobacco company for your dumb ass smoking is about as logical.
The idea of invading Mexico is just rediculous. Moving the border would create more issues than it would solve without worrying about drugs being suddenly inside your border, or immigration. Using "making it safe for Americans to visit" as justification is so horrendous that it's not even laughable.

Didn't you hear about the right to tourism? We're going to build a brick road all the way to the south pole, and those conquered Mexicans will line up and pose for us when we drive by. Also, there is the right to never feel unsafe anywhere in the world. The way you claim this right is by military invasion.
