Not really, considering most illegals get paid under the table (straight cash), which in turn is not taxed. Sure, there are a lot of them that do... but I'm pretty sure the majority of them get paid straight cash.

Here is the issue, if they are here illegally how do we know how many are paying income tax and how many are not? If they are not supposed to be here how do we know how many are actually here?

Or we could, you know, do a better job at verifying if a SS is legal or not?

So lets play this game, I grabbed an old tax return. In 2000 I made $73,080.50. My federal with holding was $15,959, social security (which I will never see a penny of) was $4530.99, Medicare of $1059.70, state $3114.62. That gave me a bring home of $48,416.10. That year my federal refund was $1,600 and my state was $300. So my total net earnings in 2000 was $50,316.10 or just above an illegal brick mason making $15 per hour. On top of that I had to pay $80 per month for medical insurance.

Perspective, ignored by most.

It was no surprise to me. I kinda expected it.

So the question is, how many are dodging the $22,764 that I paid in in 2000? We have an estimated 11 million in our country currently. I will go on the conservative side and say that only 20% are working for cash (LOL). That comes to 2.2 million not paying income taxes. I am also going to make a slight adjustment to the amount that I paid in and only call it an impact of $12,000 per immigrant. That comes out to $26,400,000,000. Chump change I suppose. All that said, my numbers are VERY conservative and do not take into consideration the costs associated with illegals.

Well since the Majority of illegals don’t pay taxes then I guess the Majority of illegal’s live in luxurious homes and make up the upper-middle class communities…huh?

I do not need or want your pity and not once did I say that we stop taking care of their kids so you can take your cute comment and shove it. You took one sentence in my point and tried to turn it into something it wasn't. Reminds me of a few other people around here.

The illegals in my area stack about 4 families in a 2 bedroom apartment. (which is also fucking illegal) My understanding in talking to some of them is that the goal is to make and save enough money here to eventually move back home and live like kings.

Oh and since we are all worried about the kids, I am sure that 15-20 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment is a very healthy environment for children. It is amazing to see a complex so over crowded that grass cant even grow on the grounds.
