There is already talk of an e-mail tax. It would be kind of like a stamp to send all of your e-mails. Its been shot down before, but with the Democrats in control of pretty much everything, it could very well get through to law.....FML!

You forgot the safety wink, now their will be mass rage about this statement :P.

It is an old article (2005) but still sometimes when a politician blatantly lies, it is incredibly annoying. I.E. the creator of that bill saying it would be to "make the internet a safer place for children." No, it is a way to make the government a shitload of money (similar to local/state governments that put up speed camera's/Red light cameras for "safety." B.S. they want the money off the bastards)

Oh you know its all about the money. Anyway to pry it out of our pocket is a good way in their eyes. If you do a search it comes up with states thinking of doing the same thing. Some are newer but in either case you can bet sooner or later it will get attached to something completely diferent from what it is and will pass.

Having the ability to stop the internet for any reason is so far over the line it is not even funny. It seems so simple to me.

Should the lion king also be able to stop phone service, cable, cell phone coverage and radio? It is all the same thing. It starts as national security and then moves to something else. Some of you are way too trusting of your government.
