Thats aimed at you Hub since you know Texas law like the back of your hand.
Then he'll ask if you want to blow. If you refuse, it's an automatic 6 month suspension on your license (it's the thing you sign when you get a drivers license, and the signature shows up on your license). I even know some cops that have given a sobriety test and they passed, then they used their discretion and let them drive home. It's all up to the cops discretion. Sometimes when you pass the sobriety, they may not be satisfied enough, so that's when they use their discretion and ask if you want to blow.

Some may ask you to blow, or some may just give you the sobriety test. Or, they may ask you to do both. It just all depends.

    1. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS (that's all the sobriety test is about - if he says to take 6 steps and turn around, you take EXACTLY 6 steps and turn around)
    2. Do not slur your speech
    3. Be calm

I have major issues with drunk drivers. I had hope that the judge would have been harsher in the sentencing....

One of my friends in high school was killed by a drunk driver at about 2:15PM in the afternoon. T-Boned at an intersection in Ft. Lauderdale. Died instantly. I was in the car right behind him when it happened.

First of all, very sorry to hear that. It must have been terrible to see it happen like that.

Second, this is why I support VERY HARSH penalties for drunk driving. First offense should be a felony 5-10 years in federal prison. Second offense should be 30-40 years, third offense life. When you drive drunk you're showing an utter disregard for everyone's safety. As far as I'm concerned if you think life is so unimportant that you can drive drunk, then you obviously won't mind spending half of it behind bars.

I disagree with your opinion. Your punishment will cost taxpayers too much money. We should limit that to the cost of a bullet.

I think about it every time I see someone swerving on the road

I'd not argue if there was a fatality involved.

The sad thing is for the cost of an occasional BJ she could of had a designated driver 24/7.

You know as crude as you put that, I agree with you. She is (was?) a fucking celebrity and could have a thousand people begging to follow her around to parties and then drive her drunk ass around afterward.
