Funny how "you dont feel what a president has done for approximately 8 years" until the Reagan era economics is brought brought up, and then all bets are off........ and it was immediate Reagan impact.
BTW, Clinton didn't distract with a blow-job, all he did was receive one. It was the holier-than-thou hypocrite republican congress that spent all of the time and money pointing at Clinton's dick as if it were the end of the world.

Just out of curiosity (legit question here), How much of the surplus under Clinton's terms was/is attributable to some of the budgetary shifts that his White House made? Things like shifting items that had been federally budgeted onto states' budgets (reduce federal assistance to assisted housing and putting more of that on the municipalities).
I'd also caution that the whole Clinton Surplus discussion is a lost cause. Since no one agrees with anyone's figures on that anyway (a lot like other figures).
* Edit Begins*
It becomes interesting to look at the numbers directly from the Treasury Department and compare the dollar amounts in "Debt Held by Public" as opposed to "Intra-Governmental Holdings" (add those two to get the "Total Public Debt Outstanding").Last edited by Alundil; 07-19-10 at 01:23 PM.

Don't forget when he farted and knocked down the Berlin Wall and single handedly drove the commies from Grenada with his wit and charm.
Don't forget the highly successful War on Drugs that he initiated, thank Science it didn't turn into a money burning furnace of waste and incompetence.....
