LOL im sure it would go over just great if we built an american cultural learning center any where near their mosque. Im also pretty sure they would blow it up or burn it down.

What about restaurants? I'll be the first in line if middle eastern cuisine is part of it. I'm not joking either.

Some Y's do have chapels and places of worship. It isn't a catholic venture so, LOL again, there wouldn't be any priests around. They also form enable christian churches to expand ministries through exclusive partnerships based on religious views.
So yes, Cordoba Institute will be providing the same types of amenities as the 92nd st YMCA of New York. LOL

The thing is, American Muslims want to build a mosque on American soil. America isn't in the "church building christianity spreading business" (as much as some might want it to be).... So if America were to join in such an endeavor we would be wholly wrong. But if it were to be Iraqi christians trying to build a church or YMCA there, then why not?

Like i said its been over 20 years but i have been to 1 or 2 neither of which had a chapel. It was just a pool with appropriate rooms that go with it. I did just remember i went and did some repair work at 2 big ymca's in orlando nether of those had chapels but they had everything in them for whatever type of exercise you wanted to do. So from my exsperience i would say its not the vast majority that have chapels but some might.

I still have to disagree the ymca is still a weak compairson to this building.

The Cordoba center is as American as any other building in lower Manhattan. Are they any less american because they are muslim?

They are providing the same amenities and have the same goals as the Y...... shit 92nd street Y even gives classes on religion, even Judaism.
