Two US TV networks have refused to air a controversial advert condemning plans to build a mosque near the site of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York.

That's not surprising. The ads are pretty bigoted, and it certainly wouldn't be popular with their other advertisers. Are there any lawyers here? I'd be curious to know what if any obligations the networks have to allow for free speech over the public airwaves.

What a rediculous ad. If anything, that ad does a great job of planting the idea that every mosque no matter where it is, is a breeding ground for terrorism. I call bullshit.
