Evidence that Global Warming is real....Short term evidence
So it seems that for the people who believe that Global Warming isnt an issue, especially since most evidence and predictions are based on long term observations. Well, the data for June is in, and has been analyzed.
Last month’s combined global land and ocean surface temperature made it the warmest June on record and the warmest on record averaged for any April-June and January-June periods, according to NOAA. Worldwide average land surface temperature was the warmest on record for June and the April-June period, and the second warmest on record for the year-to-date (January-June) period, behind 2007.
2 of the warmest periods ever recorded, in over 130 years of tracking, all within 3 years. Hmmmm.......seems like effects are being felt short term too.

Proof to those willing to be sucked in by data thats so far from being concrete its ridiculous. Quite possibly the funniest line i have ever read.
"NOAA understands and predicts changes in the Earth’s environment, from the depths of the oceans to surface of the sun, and conserves and manages our coastal and marine resources."
LOL they understand and predict changes in the earth LOL No fucking way they actually wrote that.

Re: Evidence that Global Warming is real....Short term evidence
My point was to show that there are actual, very real trends happening before our very eyes, within our lifetime. Hell, in our recent memory. But your quite right though, far more research is needed. But tell me where the theory fails to explain an observed phenomena so far.
Is it so hard to believe that after decades of dedicated study, collectively, NOAA knows a thing or two about the oceans and atmospherics? The whole point of science is to seek to explain, understand and once understood properly, make predictions based on that knowledge. That knowledge can be credited with saving FAR more lives than a hospital of doctors. Per tropical cyclone.

Re: Evidence that Global Warming is real....Short term evidence
My point isnt that they dont get it to a degree but to say they understand and predict changes in the earth environment from the depth of the ocean to the surface of the sun is just assinine. We have barely touched the depths of the ocean and have next to nothing on the sun and lets be honest they dont get it as much as they would like everyone to believe.
