Re: North Korea warns of nuclear 'sacred war'
One missile? Probably not.
One missile out of 10 fired? Statistically likely...
Unfortunately when we are talking about nuclear weapons, even one making it though would be devastating beyond belief. And I also believe that we would be more then capable of shooting down something targeted at LA if KJI was stupid enough to try that. But we would be far less likely to intercept something aimed at Seoul, which is only 30 miles south of the DMZ. A lot less time to react and a lot fewer chances of making a successful intercept.Last edited by Arreo; 07-24-10 at 02:33 PM.

Re: North Korea warns of nuclear 'sacred war'
In my opinion, if North Korea tries and start a nuclear war, they will have all the major world powers knocking at this door. France, Great Britain, United States, Russia, etc. This would not be a battle against a small faction hiding in cities and mountains, this would be a battle against an organized military, which we seem to do better against. Operation Iraqi Freedom was a pretty good success in terms of taking out the former Iraqi government. Not saying that I necessarily agree with it, nor am I saying that the current state of Iraq is very good. (I do not know the condition of Iraq besides what the mainstream media tells us, the current state of the government is not at all important in my current argument) America seems to have much faster results when fighting organized armies, since that is what we've done successfully in the past. I'm not a war historian, so I am sorry if this is all totally wrong, just personal thought.

As I said it would have to be armed at launch. Srry misread your reply yes multiple launches most certainly one would make it which would be horrific but in return it would end Korea as we know it now and quite possibly much of the rest of the world. An insane lunatic such as KJI just may be froggie enough to try it.

When you make those kinds of threats, it is always taken serious and one false move that even resembles that you are going to carry it through and north Korea is a parking lot.
Did y'all see the north Korean soldier peering in the window about 6 feet behind Hillary. He could have harmed her if he had wanted to. I bet that shook her up.

Like Red_Lizard said, SSDD. He's bluffing with a pair of fives, and I wouldn't be surprised if we gave them money or oil "not to use a nuke." Because giving them things they need to survive has clearly helped stop them from getting nukes.
