Afgan "Warlogs" leak to the media
This is a giant leak of US millitary documents that Wikileaks obtained. I'll let them explain a bit:
WikiLeaks has released a document set called the Afghan War Diary (AWD), an extraordinary compendium of over 91,000 reports covering the war in Afghanistan from 2004 to 2010.
The reports, while written by soldiers and intelligence officers mainly describing lethal military actions involving the United States military, also include intelligence information, reports of meetings with political figures, and related detail.

Basically what these documents show is that the war in Afghanistan is far from won and is a great deal more desprite then is has been previously painted by the meedia.
One of the things that struck me is that the Taliban has access to a number of sophisticated heat-seeking missiles that they are using against coalition aircraft. This has not been told to the media until now even though these SAMs have been used to shoot down aircraft.Last edited by Arreo; 07-25-10 at 06:14 PM.

At some point we need to nut up and tell Pakistan to deal with the Taliban or we'll do it for them. I mean their intelligence service is providing material and intel aid to the Taliban and yet we are paying them upwards of a billion dollars to help us in the "war on terror".

Re: Afgan "Warlogs" leak to the media
Why in the world would the Media skew the Afghan war as more positive than it really is...that makes absolutely no sense...the media likes when wars go poorly...if it bleeds, it leads.
Oh wait...it was their guy who emphasized how vital this whole deal is...and how we have to stay there, and do some troop surging...Last edited by Consultant; 07-26-10 at 12:25 AM.

LOL........ everytime Wiki Leaks posts more classified information out on their site, Bradley Manning gets another 13 months.
I know the info comes from all over the place, but the Govt has their teeth squarely into his ass right now. You know he is thinking, come on guys, just hold off till they sentence me.....
Game over for that chump

Chump? He didn't leak anything that endangered the US. He just embarrassed the military and this is how they respond. Sad.
@Arreo. No amount of 'nutting up' will help. The relationship that the ISS and Taliban share is way too deep for our perceived imperialism to affect. They're basically family. It's about cutting losses and leaving. Not every problem has a solution.
@Consultant. The media likes anything negative, that's what sells, nothing new there. Nice edit btw.
