FBI demands that Wikipedia take down the bureau seal
The bureau wrote a letter in July to the Wikimedia Foundation, the parent organization of Wikipedia, demanding that it take down an image of the F.B.I. seal accompanying an article on the bureau, and threatened litigation: “Failure to comply may result in further legal action. We appreciate your timely attention to this matter.”
I am rolling on the floor, laughing so hard right now. I mean really.....REALLY?!?! The FBI doesn't have a leg to stand on in this case. What on earth are they talking about? Not to mention the whole ejusdem generis, but also the aspect of it being used for educational purposes, after all, what purpose does a encyclopedia serve, if not for education? Plus, the seal is part of the federal government, and since its a public service, I would say it falls under the category of in the public domain.
Is it just me, or does the FBI have a stick up their ass about this?

Re: FBI demands that Wikipedia take down the bureau seal
Wikipedia has a First Amendment right to display the seal, she said.
