    The 2010 Republicans

Curious what your thoughts are on some on the nominees now? Of the names more talked about: Joe Miller (probably will win the nomination), Sharron Angle, Rand Paul, Ben Quayle, Marco Rubio, and John McCain.

There are others, but having issue finding a site with all the nominees for this year (or at least some of them).

But yeah, what do you think? Do republicans stand a better chance now? A worse chance? etc.

I said the names more talked about, and there has been talk about McCain. Out of that field, he is probably the only one I could stomach, and that is saying a lot.

Of course I would love to see Rand Paul go far.

McCain will win. Sharron Angle will lose. She has completely run her campaign into the ground by opening her mouth and is certifiably crazy. Ben "my dad can't spell potato" Quayle will likely win because he is running in a Republican district to replace a Republican. Rand Paul is also running to replace a Republican, but he has put his foot in his mouth a few times, too. Him being on the ballot actually gives the Democrats a chance at the seat. The Florida Senate election will be interesting. It's a Republican-held seat, so even if crazy Rubio does win, it's no change. If Crist wins, it will be interesting what he chooses to do and who he caucuses with. Joe Miller would be running to replace a Republican, too. Although Murkowski is more reasonable than Miller, it still won't change the equation. So while I guess you could call these candidates "interesting," none of them will change the dynamic in the Senate or House.

And I'm surprised you support Rand Paul, Thorsen. The Libertarian Party of Kentucky does not share your same view.

Tim Pawlenty may have a decent shot.

It's gonna be a tough few months for the Left.....they will most likely lose their "super majority", and possibly their majority all together. Hopefully, anyway.

How is Rubio crazy? Please cite examples. I know the man. He's far from crazy.

As for the dynamics of the Senate or the House changing - I think that if the democrats lose their majority in either, that would count as a change of dynamics, no?

Anyone else receive questionnaires from their representatives? I have had a few in the mail over the past year. Is it just for show, or is all this political hype actually making politicians wake up and remember the constituents? I would rather they all forget the D and R or L or T, and give the people what they want/need. I think we would all be happier and less divided.
