Everything i read was about location on top of opening the doors on 9-11. Either way if it was just the date then they could have very easily pushed opening for a week and issue resolved. However that where the location came into play and that is why many consider it to be poor judgement on their part. Now if you want to critise Beck (of which i would not be against) for the day that was chosen the only way it could be equal is if he showed up and was selling MLK shirts with bullet holes in the forehead. Then i would agree with you but seeing as that didnt happen i simply can not agree with your asessment.

Just as an analogy. The mosque is being opened by muslims and the attacks were by muslims. Now for it to be the same He would have to at least sell shirts as i described. One side would be solid muslims the other would be solid whites. Both would be attacks of the the primary color involved in the new garabage. Is it stupid? Yup but thats what it would take for those 2 items to be on the same page.

The community center never planned to open on 9/11/11. That was another concocted lie to drum up irrational fear and hatred. I wish people in general would question obvious bullshit instead of swallowing it because it makes a good talking point. Hell, it will take 18 to 48 months to build the thing AFTER they get the permits and the old building demolished. It is completely impossible for it to open on that day even if they wanted to.

fixed, unless we want to count the extremist of the Christian religions etc. as "christians" (granted some will but still). Hell even Former President George W. Bush pointed out that they basically are NOT muslims (So to speak)

Now why would you fix the muslims and put extremists and leave the whites in the second part? Wouldnt both of those be extremists? Which was the point behind the whole thing.
