Ramadan road trip

When looking up some news on Google, this came up (thought it'd be something different) and ended up reading the whole thing and finding a very interesting tale and felt like I learned at least a little. As someone who doesn't know many (or even a few :/) Muslims, or go to any mosques, it gave an idea of what some of them might be like (maybe not all of them). a small tid-bit from it:

I get called a racist all the time from blacks because I am white...you dont see me writing a book , welcome to america....

I did like this though...and let it be noted...

Peering from beneath his camouflage hat, he adds that he condemns racism. A couple of weeks earlier, a man came in toting a bunch of literature from white nationalist David Duke. "I pointed toward the drive and told him to go on and get."

The entire thing is about breaking stereotypes (from the stereotypes of Muslims, to stereotyping the store/owner etc.) and also shows that all our cultures have people that make us look bad, but they are few and far between. (The mosque that didn't let the CNN guys in, the police officer, etc).

Why so defensive? It is an interesting piece considering the relationship people put towards Muslims and terrorism for example.

i know many Muslims, just comes with the business i suppose. Most of them are pretty cool, very laid back and passive(that's not the word i'm looking for..i can't think straight right now) :/ Just as any other group there are bad apples. When you're not part of that group, it's easy to cast prejudice over things you cannot/do not understand.
