Nobody said he was arrested. What I said was that the police interfered with his 1st amendment rights. I hope they get sued.
If I look like I am going to throw my ice cream wrapper on the ground in Washington DC, you wont see a cop 'pounce' on me to take the wrapper out of my hand to prevent littering. You will see the cop give me a ticket afterwards.

You forget after or during that ticket writting session you or he will pick up that wrapper. There is however a difference between the 2. One is a piece of garbage laying on the ground and the other is a potential hazard to self and property. Thats why you have to get a burn permit. What if someone has reported a gas leak in the area or those involved are just retarded? Someone elses shit might get damaged for their freedom of speach. There is a right way and a wrong one. They choose poorly.
