Stem Cell Ban "stayed"

Can you at least agree that it is only a clump of cells until it isn't? Like when it grows appendages or a heart beat? In either case, the the stage that the "embryos" are in when the stemcells are harvested are still in the "clump of cells" stage...........

I guess this depends on what you base your belief on, and I know that we don't agree there, so we know that argument leads back to the same one that has been had 100 times on these forums. If you believe in God, and believe the Bible, then it says God knew us BEFORE we were formed in the womb. If you don't believe the Bible, or believe there is a god, then I see no issues.

But no, instead, they were just thrown out. Wasted. I understand why I could not find someone else to use them. Most couples are already spending plenty of money on IVF without a trip to Germany thrown in. I know, I spent the money myself. But I cannot fathom the reasons behind the regulations that required they be tossed out instead of used for something positive. Either way, they get destroyed. So why not use them?
I will not hold my breath for a logical reason.

If god knows you before you were conceived, then how can destroying a clump of material cells destroy you, a spiritual being?

According to the Christian belief, you go either to heaven or to hell after death, so death does not destroy you.

You brought the word destroy into the conversation. Even though I believe I will go to heaven when I die that does not mean I am in any unnecessary rush to get there, and I feel the same applies to the embryos.
