Not as detailed as it could be, but the first few pages gives SOME info (granted it's only for the month of August)

Federal law trumps state law....that ends that argument.

We need to buy mexico...seriously....it's a third world country, just south of us, and it is making our property values go down. I say we first be diplomatic about it, then if they say no, we invade mexico and take it over...alot of people would be ALOT better off

    Re: Idea to ease unemployment

How is that vulgar and add nothing?

America is in a shit ton of debt right now, and if you think people do not abuse the welfare/unemployment system, you are sadly mistaken...

In 2000 (latest figures i could find) the US and State governments spent over 1 TRILLION dollars on governement assistance. That is nearly 4 percent of the GDP. 70% of that was from the federal government, and 30% from state governements.

Even if you cut 1 percent, 1 MINOR SMALL percent fromt he federal governement and state government, this country would save 20 billion dollars annually.

That is A WHOLE HELL of a lot of money you could put towards green energy, and creating jobs. And then, after you create those jobs, unemployment drops.

    Seems fucking logical to me....

little bit more for you boo....

Federal social welfare expenditures remained relatively stable from 1980 to 2002, making up between 49 and 60 percent of all federal spending. However, expenditures on social welfare have been increasing as a percentage of state and local government costs. State and local spending for social welfare programs continued to increase into the early twenty-first century. This constant rise in costs was a major reason for the severe budget problems faced by local and state governments during the early 1990s. The problem was relieved somewhat by the strong economy of the mid-1990s, which helped the states to absorb these costs. When the economy began to weaken in 2000, however, the problem resurfaced. In 2002 public assistance, Medicaid, and other social welfare programs accounted for about a third of all state outlays.

and further more, it wouldnt be abstact to say that the surge in illegal immigration from mid nineties to today are a direct result in the surge in medicaid and social welfare cost...

Every time one of them gets hurt at thier illigal job, they go to the hospital, with no insurance, and it costs the tax payer. Ever stop to think why the price of fucking cigerettes are through the roof?

So, close up the borders, stop the abusers on the system, bank the money, spend the money in positive jobs for the economy...problem solved

Or buy mexico, increase the workforce of america EXPOnetially, inherit new businesses and industry, make more money....create more jobs....

Concur as well. My best friend in the world, union electrician, is the hardest working, motivated person you could ask for. He can't stand degenerates. Extended unemployment benefits are the only thing that have kept him from losing his house. He wants to work, and is holding on week to week.

This continued recession has softened my views on things. I do fault him for not evolving and trying to look for another career, and have told him as much. It may take another sustained length of unemployment before he listens to me and takes up IT.

Enact law that the Federal government does no business with companies that outsource labor to other countries. No products, no services will be purchased from those that choose to cut costs in this manner. State governments should follow suit.

De-list all publicly traded companies from American exchanges that take part in offshore outsourcing jobs would be a good start.
