Re: British Airways Boss Slams US Security Requests
So when another a-hole blows up a plane or crashes into a building. Were cool right?
You know what travel lite, maybe buy bathroom stuff once you get to your destinaton. When I went to hawaii. I wore flip flops to the airport. My wife and I had 2 carry on a piece, checked no luggage. We got through security in less then 2 minutes.Last edited by digital; 10-28-10 at 04:24 PM.

The security at the airport is TSA, not FAA! The FAA is here to help, not make BS safety measures that don't.
Actually, different airports in the USA and abroad handle travel a lot differently... some small time airports (smaller planes only, no 757s or other large planes) will have very stringent security procedures while some large airports that handle lots of international travel will let all kinds of stuff pass. It varies a lot.
On a side note, yeah death, flying out of Orlando is kinda hell... lots of vacationing families = tons of kids all fired up from Disney + strollers and tons of luggage. I did that trip a couple weeks ago, ugh!Join the TPG Folding @ home team: http://www.teamplayergaming.com/pc-h...ding-team.html

Re: British Airways Boss Slams US Security Requests
exactly. I always wear my ugg house slippers and my sweat pants to the airport, i like to fly comfortable anyways. I travel light and always have my shoes off/hat off/checked and recheck my luggage before i get to the security line. I know what they expect, I comply, I dont fuss, I get through quickly. Its always the dumb fucks like most the people here that want to bitch about the security measures that hold up the line with the rest of us. Just have your shoes off, just fucking take the shit out of your pockets, just fucking take the lap top out of the bag, its not fucking rocket science....

Hell yes were all right if it happens again. Seeing as that security hasnt stopped anyone yet i dont see the point in it. If they want you to walk thru metal detectors sure no biggy. Having people throw shit away because its 6 oz instead of 3, taking shoes off, and all the other ridiculous ass shit they do under the guiess of safety needs to go away. Its all pointless until they start doing strip searches on every single person there is no point to any of it.

according to Kraker you do.....unless Obama does it, then its evil socialist crap.
I did find that SNL clip, I like in it one of the ladies ask "What about securing the chemical plants that have been identified as the next likely terrorist target" which the TSA "bosses" just respond ".....only questions about airplanes"
With TSA/FAA, FAA isn't always about making it safer, iirc there have been more hen a few deadly crashes that happened no thanks to FAA and the airlines. They'll find something that is a flaw in a plane, and only suggest the airlines fix it within the next 5 years or some stupid crap, until a plane go downs and kills 100s of people, then they say "oh....now you all have to do it asap!" FAA does a lot of reactive policies like TSA.
Of course one of those links (I think it was Schriner) pointed out "couldn't a terrorist detonate a bomb in the line and kill a bunch of people?" Of course don't forget our barely (if at all) protected subways, busses, light rail, etc.

How is it being difficult? TPG is a forum not a airport security line. I do what they say, it doesn't mean I can't point out how pointless they are and how little (if any) they actually protect travelers.
You are the one who implied that those regulations prevent "terrorists from blowing up a plane."
