Also this. The more medications you take, the greater the risk of interactions between them. If I'm not mistaken, if you take something like 7 or 8 different medications (the number might be smaller or larger, I'm not positive) you've a 100% chance that there's interaction going on between two.. be that synergistic effects, antagonistic effects, or even a completely different effect. There's reams of info for every medication going into just what types of effects can happen if mixing different chemicals.. don't take this if ___, taking with __ might ___, etc. It's up to the prescriber to know whether or not what you are currently taking will be adversely effected by something they're considering prescribing.

Re: Prop 203 Passes: Medical MJ
The problem is you are never going to get something legalized until the negative stigma surrounding it is virtually gone. We've seen that happening already, and this will only accelerate the process, I believe. Obama already directed the DoJ not to enforce federal laws on people following state laws regarding medical marijuana, and that is a big step from the Bush administration's stance. I support full legalization, and I support this as well. If it can be used medically, it should be allowed, and these laws allow that. I also hear people all the time talking about how easy it is to get their hands on medical. Really, it's no different than people who doctor shop to get vicodin or oxycotin, but marijuana is not as bad for you as those drugs are. Once people realize these states that have legalized medical marijuana haven't imploded, and as more young people grow up and older people die off, minds will change even more.
