If you can't see the difference between me saying that my opinion is based on life experience, and you claiming that I can't recount facts about a political issue because I lack military experience, I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain it.

I could come up with items that have similar effects. How about sports cars and trucks for starters. That doesnt make it anymore of a fact that people carry firearms because they are insecure. Or how about power lifters? They lift weight only because they were insecure as a person so they needed to beef up. lol Sometimes people do things just because they want to not because they feel they need to.

I don't think that it's the only one, but I think that it's a significant portion. I think that playing cowboy is another big one.

I've known more than a few power lifters (well, maybe not "power lifters," but gym rats at least) who did that due to insecurity too, yes. Is this surprising to you?
