He's one of the best, if not the best ex-presidents in history. Nobody holds his presidency up. The Actor, on the other hand, has a strong following, even today.

No obsession....lol. You brought up the actor, so i brought up the peanut farmer.....one will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents, and one will go down as one of the biggest failures....although Barry may give Jimmy a run for that title....only time will tell.

As for his post-presidential endeavors....I would agree if Jimmy would stay the fuck out of World politics (one of the greatest failures of his presidency was his foreign affairs), and just build houses. Habitat For Humanity is absolutely the best thing he has ever done. As a member of the trades, I have worked on several "Habitat" projects, and have seen first-hand the goodwill he is spreading. He is a much better philanthropist than he is a diplomat.

Yes, the point, way back, was that you brought Obama's work history into question, when Republican Sweetheart Reagan was an actor by trade. Jimmy Carter isn't a great counter, since he's not deified by Democrats like Reagan is by the right.

Just out of curiousity were you even around to watch reagan in action? He wasn't just an actor either. You may want to look into his back ground a little more. People tend to overlook what else he did.

Wasnt Regan an actor only in the 50's maybe early 60's, and then later become the Governor of California before being elected to president? Either way he was still more qualified than Carter because all the Democrats did that election was find the most squeaky clean guy they could for that election.

My comparison was to Obama, not Carter. Carter is not an apt comparison, because Carter isn't idealized by the left like Reagan is by the right.
