"Arizona" style Immigration crackdwon in Indiana (senate bill 0590) Get's approval
Here we go again.
Under Senate Bill 590, filed by Senator Mike Delph (R-Carmel), police officers across the state would be required to ask for proof of citizenship or immigration status if they suspected someone was in the country illegally. Like Arizona's law, the bill also includes tougher penalties for employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants, and would recognize English as the state’s official language.
I for one am for this. People need to understand that it will not be racial profiling. Cops are not out there going "YOUR BROWN GET DOWN!" lol like some idiots here think. For instance, if cops were to arrest a gentleman and the only ID he could produce is a mexico ID, would you call that resaonable suspicion to ask about his citizenship here?

Watch the video I posted, I live in Arizona and very happy that a judge found many parts of the SB1070 law unconstitutional.

We need to secure our borders, not run around harassing legal citizens. Just watch the video and really think of what occurred. A legal citizen was arrested and detained for no reason what so ever, he then has to prove that he was here legally.....thats bull shit, I'm sure the cop that detained him didn't have his "papers" on him.

Agreed.
Funny thing is that there are off the wall jokers that think this bill will actually curb illegals. Only way to ask for their "visa" is if they are stopped by the cops for breaking the law or getting pulled over.
Thats a no brainer. Lay low and the cops wont have shit.
I think there is about 5 illegals total in that backwoods state.
The bill, passed on Tuesday night by a vote of 31-18, would allow state and local police to ask a person stopped for infractions like traffic violations for proof of a US Visa or legitimate residency if the officer has a "reasonable suspicion" they may be in the country illegally.
There are plenty of legal citizens that speak somewhat broken english so what is it? CLothes? Hairstyle? Skin color? lol
This seems more like a bunch of nothing to make it look like they are doing something for the voters.
Nobody like to talk about the root problem because its an ugly truth.

Yep.
The root cause for them coming over......are you ready for this....
THEY HAVE WORK WAITING FOR THEM!!!!!!
Take away their work opportunities and they are fucked......thing is that means going after the truck driving good ol boys who own construction companies. Who wants that though....
By doing so you force them to pay regular wages to Americans and it eats away at their profit.
Greed.

That was going to be my next point, as you know I am of Hispanic heritage and I have a lot of family members here legally in the USA. Some of them (grandpa) look like they just jumped over the fence last week, he is a legal citizen and has been for about 25 years now. I don't think he should have to carry around his "papers" just because a police officer might confuse him as an illegal, like I said secure the border, stop harassing legal American citizens of Hispanic Heritage. That bill is not the answer to our immigration problem.
