Re: Pepsi superbowl ad racist?
Is there anyone, anyone at all that agrees with Sheila Jackson on this? lol I honestly don't think there is a single person on the forums that will agree with her, how Sheila Jackson got voted into congress is beyond me, with so many critical issues facing our country today, this is what she spends her time on?

Re: Pepsi superbowl ad racist?
It's things like this that she's always spent her time on. And the better question is not "How Sheila Jackson Lee got voted into Congress?" (under the provision of the "Fool "______" once shame on you" cliche) The question ought to be "How the hell does she keep getting elected to Congress?"

Oh some of the gems from dear ole' Sheila:

Asking that Hurricane names have more "black" names represented....
snopes.com: African-American Hurricane Names
This is from one of the comments on the article....
What exactly constitutes a "black" name? "Destiny" is the name of a Carnival Cruise Lines ship--how is that "black"? I have a black friend named Jeannie and another named Stephen. Are they somehow less black because they have "white" names? Antoine's (same sound as "Antwon" but with the traditional spelling) is the name of an ancient French restaurant in New Orleans. Is it "black"?
Who will make the determination whether a name is "black" enough to be on the list? Sounds like somebody just opened a can of worms. Maybe we should go back to the old system of using the military phonetic alphabet. There are several versions which could be rotated from year to year to avoid confusion. Otherwise, every special interest group in the country is going to be clamoring to have its particular "names" included on the list. "Hurricane Fido" (ASPCA), "Hurricane Colt 45" (NRA), "Hurricane Buick" (General Motors), "Hurricane DeLay" (Republican National Committee). Hey, that's what we need to help fund the National Weather Service: corporate sponsorship of hurricane names! "Hurricane Guacamole Doritos!"
And friends? With Chavez?

But she added that her fact-finding mission to Venezuela was part of an effort by a new Democrat-controlled Congress to show that "Venezuela has many friends in this new Congress."
"We're here to re-establish friendship," she said.During a 2005 visit to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, Lee asked whether the Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969. (Armstrong's 1969 mission, of course, was to the Moon, not Mars.)
She's not the brightest bulb in the world. Unfortunately for her constituents.
