TSA in denial?
"We can all testify to the inconvenience we sometimes experience because of such a comprehensive system," he said. "But the other thing we can say with absolute confidence is that this system has effectively secured aviation in this nation since 9/11."

TSA Considering Major Airport Security Shakeup - AOL Travel News
Three box cutters fell out of a passenger's carry-on luggage as he was stowing it in an overhead compartment on a JetBlue plane headed for the Dominican Republic from New York's John F Kennedy Airport over the weekend.
"In case anyone has forgotten, the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) was created because of a couple [of] box cutter incidents," a representative from the police department tells the New York Post, referring to the weapons used to hijack planes that later slammed into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001"

Box Cutters Pass Airport Security onto JFK Flight - AOL Travel News
First let me ask how fucking ironic is it that TSA would say they have kept planes safe since 9-11?
Then let me ask just how ironic is it that the very same day they issue their little statement about keeping planes safe that 3 box cutters on found on a flight?

Re: TSA in denial?
So which is it? do you want to bitch about TSA wanting to do thier job...or do you want to bitch about TSA not being allowed to do thier job?
People amaze me...
I for one, have absolutely no problem being searched, patted down, luggage checked, shoes off, wallet out, belt off, everything out of pocket, and full body scanned if it means I make to my destination knowing that every measure reasonable was taken to ensure my safety....
dont like being searched? STOP FUCKING TAKING YOUR LIVING ROOM ON A 3 HOUR FLIGHT! Omfg, you need a book....that is it

Re: TSA in denial?
Actually neither. TSA is an abortion that shouldn't be around to being with. They have proven over and over they dont keep shit off planes aside from shampoo and fingernail clippers. Just because you have no issue with your rights disappearing does not mean that im ok with it. Why do i need a book? Clearly when i sit here im reading news reports. You should try it sometime expand your mind.

No, no, no, they only keep off shampoo in bottles larger then 3.4oz. I could go to the airport tomorrow and bring 60+ oz of shampoo if I really wanted to, as long as none of the containers are over 3.4oz and in a 1 quart ziplock bag.
TSA is there just to make it a bit tougher, they probably have helped a small amount but if a terrorist was determined to bring down a plane, they would still be able to do it pretty easily. Of course a smart terrorist would probably find about 8 billion other options with 0 security to inflict maximum damage.
Of course the last round of crap TSA put in is still my favorite "OMG, security in Africa and Holland was total shit and let this guy get on a plane and almost blow it up, that must mean OUR U.S. security is total shit."
Off-topic, but on the TSA I'll have to try and digg up the spoof SNL did from a few years back, it pretty much covered some of the problems

O RLY?
Chicago Midway Airport and O'Hare Airports are both owned by the City of Chicago. As a matter of fact, I beleive that most major airports are, indeed, public. In fact, the 4 major commercial service airports in Indiana are publicly owned. I hope you aren't as loose with the facts while performing your new job.
