This is nonsense. Women's rights came about to the collective demands of that group. Civil rights as well.

A complaint that Bashas' discriminated against Hispanic workers by paying them less than Anglo employees is being investigated by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The EEOC investigates only cases it believes have merit and has had to sue Bashas' to get the company to cooperate.

Last year, an NLRB administrative law judge found that Bashas' engaged in unfair labor practices by closing stores, replacing checkers with U-scan machines and altering health-care terms without telling the union.

A second NLRB case alleges, in more than 70 instances, that Bashas' illegally tried to block the union's organization efforts and retaliated against sympathetic employees. The case has been heard by an administrative law judge, but a decision has not been issued. Like the EEOC, the NLRB hears only cases it believes have merit.
That's just the thing, they are trying to represent the employees. But with shady blocking tactics as well as retaliatory actions for those sympathetic to organizing, my assumption is that those not organized are not represented well, if at all.

Maybe the same person who represented me for every job I have had for the last 20 years, myself.

As for your quote Hawg it appears to me if they were discriminating based on race all that had to be done was report it to the EEOC, oh wait...

I guess I am a simpleton in thinking that if a job does not pay enough, or offer enough perks, then I can choose not to take it. If nobody chooses to take it then either the company doesn't fill it, or improves the pay/benefits to entice people to do the job. If someone else is willing to do the job then why should I stop them?

    wut?

Simpleton enough to not take into account that not everybody has the luxury of being able to pick up and start another job at their own whim. Simpleton enough to not realize that the job market isn't conducive to such simpleton logic. Simpleton enough to believe that people work shitty, dangerous, unsafe jobs for low pay and benefits because they choose to.... Simpleton enough to think that to be rid of unions that there wouldn't be a race to the bottom, regarding working class pay and benefits.

I guess since the beginning of time. Funny how some uneducated guy running a blanket shop in cancun can figure it out, but people in America supposedly can't.

Simpleton enough to realize it has worked for however many thousands, or millions, of years you believe people have been on this planet. Simpleton enough to believe it has worked just fine for me for 20+ years. Simpleton enough to believe it has worked just fine for the thousands of co-workers I have had over the last 20+ years.

You know thats absolutely correct. Before the oh mighty dollar people traded goods and services. So the contractor has been around quite a long time seeing as the would trade a chicken for chopping up wood or what have you.
