    "Anti-Student voting bill"

Thankfully, the New Hampshire House was smart enough to stay away from it and effectively kill it. One part of it wasn't bad, but the other part seemed pretty "what?" worthy, it would of made it so students would either have to prove their parents or them had established permanent residency in the town to vote there. Meaning if you were going to UNH, but was born and raised in Kansas, you would have to go all the way back to your district in Kansas if you wanted to vote.

The more sensible part, would of banned same-day registration.

The biggest issue with this, was the comments caught on tape by the sponsor of the bill, in which he said (quoting the article):
The measure gained national notice, thanks in part to a YouTube video of the state's new GOP House speaker declaring students "foolish" because they are "liberal" and "just vote their feelings." The sponsor of the measure went further in his denunciations of college students, declaring that they turn out in college towns on Election Day and cancel out other voters, motivated by a "dearth of experience and a plethora of the easy self-confidence that only ignorance and inexperience can produce."
New Hampshire college students can still vote in state, for now

    Yeah... he would be.

I don't understand what the problem is here. Doesn't everyone have to vote in the same county as their permanent residence? I had to go home to vote my whole college career too. And people who live in a house have permanent residence and should be able to vote just fine.

Where does the absentee ballot fall in all this? My college was within driving distance so i voted in person, but cant a college student living outside their county of residence vote absentee?

Strange, I live in Germany yet I vote in Texas. But its not like I have to make a trip back to USA to vote. Why can these kids not do the absentee voting thing?
And so what if they "vote their feelings"? This is USA where I can write in myself, you, or Snookie if I want to. That is part of the deal. I like that most of the younger crowd votes their feelings. Our collective self should have both heart and mind.
    Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.

Uneducated masses. Many students are aware of the issues and vote with educated opinions, but many more are just young, motivated and directionless and will jump on any carrot (cause) dangled at them, without really learning what it's about first. It's too bad, but it's also true.
