But aren't you saying that you aren't really "free". If I lived in a country were I wasn't really free then I wouldn't like to live there. Hopefully 40 years from now things will not have gotten worse. That is my biggest fear...the future.

I'm free to get drunk off my ass so long as I'm home and don't get roundy.

But it's a crime for a 7yrd to sell lemonade, I wish knew the name of the town in Mass. but they outlawed outlawed playing tag, it's a crime to end your own life.

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you. I wish I could hear the explanation of those laws and crimes also. But until they outlaw tag and hide-and-go-seek in La Grange, Illinios, I'm happy.

LOL ok as funny as that is its not my point. There was a time when you weren't forced to worry about someone elses opinions or feelings. As a society we have become pussies. Sure our military might is strong but as a society we have had groups tears this country down while making their statement.

Just as an example. When i went thru bootcamp you learned line training and boxing but mothers of america went after the corps for teaching of all things violence by having every recruit learn to box. So while i was still in the new guys were hitting the fleet without that training. Is it an end all to the Corps? Of course not but whats the point of even bringing it up? The concept behind the Corps is violence so why go after the training?

All this pc bullshit is destroying this nation and i agree with civil. We over react to every damn thing here. Take driving for example. You didn't have to wear seat belts until what the 70's? Crist before that many cars didn't even have seat belts. Now cars have multiple air bags, crush zones, fuel cut offs, and safety glass yet we still have a seat belt law. Why is the government deciding for us on wether or not we should be safe?

Why is it illegal to give a bad refference? It shouldn't be. If you were fired for stealing it should be perfectly fine for your old employer to tell the one your trying to get hired by the exact reason you were fired. Yet they cant the worst they can do legally is tell them you are not rehirable and that bullshit.

Why should i need a permit to put a roof on my home? Its my house i should be able to do whatever i want with it as long as it does not effect those houses around me. Hell where i live i have to get a permit to fix my fence. What the fuck is that?

Im not saying all laws are bad. Im just saying we have far to many of them.

There was a time you didn't have to worry about other people feelings?

Hence shit gets outlawed because of dumb fucks that don't give a shit about no one but themselves. jet skis got restricted because they went way too fast near other people and boats with out regard of the fact they were ruining other peoples weekends and they were polluting the lakes with the oils they spit out.

Need a permit to roof your house? cause when you do a shitty ass job using flattened beer cans you ruin the resell value of your neighbors homes and end up causing blight in the city which isn't good for anyone.

Campfires in back yards? yeah cause I want your god damn sparks landing on my roof when your drunk ass lets it get carried away... yes I had a neighbor 2 houses down start a bonfire in his freaking front yard. less than 10 yards for each of his neighbor's houses. he didn't care if he burned down everyone elses' crap. Yes I called the police.

Half the other stuff listed isn't illegal where I am. Not sure where you can't have a lemonade stand or play tag or dig a pit for a camp fire at the lake or buy beer on Sunday. Can do all of those here.
