Who watches them? Jimmy Justice.
Lol you guys should check out some of this guys videos. He lives in New York and goes around policing the police.
"And your days of running around this city like a cowboy are over!" lol
So the question for the thread is, Should citizens be allowed to do this? Even though they are in different states, maybe Kraker should give us some insight as to whether or not citizens are allowed to record police officers.

there is nothing wrong with filming things that happen in public. No one has the expectation of privacy for things they do out in public. Good cops should love this guy because if they are doing their job right, this type of video just proves that they are doing a great job. Bad cops will hate this because they will be exposed for the bullies with a badge that they are.
Of course, the videos you will see getting the most play on youtube are the ones with the bad cops.
I read a story about a group that does this in L.A. and the bullies with badges are constantly trying to confiscate their cameras or arrest them for interfering with law enforcement. I will see if I can find a link for it. I thought it was very interesting that the cops would be against this because like I said, if they are doing their jobs correctly, they should love this sort of thing.Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.

Ok im good with the video and good with asking whats up but he does not have to be confrontational or insulting. At the same time i think of the amount of time i have been treated that way by law enforcement and figure tit for tat. However he discredits himself by being confrontational.

Re: Who watches them? Jimmy Justice.
Yea hes kind of being an asshole about it lol but I don't think its illegal...according to him the reason he started doing this is because he didn't think it was fair that these traffic enforcement agents would spend all day handing out tickets and then would constantly be in violation of some traffic law (parking in handicapped zones, parking in front of fire hydrants, making illegal u turns, etc) He doesn't feel that the traffic enforcement agents should be allowed to break the same laws they enforce with no consequences.
Also another thing that I found interesting is how many of the traffic enforcement agents refused to give him their badge number. Aren't they required by law to give that information if requested?

I don't think confronting them is illegal or preventing them from doing their job but I don't think it helps the matter in any way and possibly hurts things overall. I don't want the cop giving me a ticket in a bad mood because Jackass Jim pissed em off.
Add to that you never know what the police officer is doing. Could be a 30 sec delay now getting to a domestic violence call because he got them upset and out of their car instead of already being in it and ready to go.
I just think it hurts his case. He is enjoying pissing them off which reveals his true motive. This guy got hassled by the popo's a few times and is out seeking revenge.
