04-06-11, 06:24 PM #1Glenn Beck's fox show to be "axed"
The writer of the article seems to think he was axed, while the quotes don't really provide if Fox decided to kick him off, it was a mutual agreement, or if Beck just wanted to himself (unlikely on the last, but could happen).
Glenn Beck 'to transition off' Fox News | Media | The Guardian
I liked this part towards the end:
In the UK, where Beck's show is carried by the Fox News international channel, advertisers are so scarce that the network fills the ad breaks with silent Sky News updates.
Also one that looks on who will be really hurt by this:

Re: Glenn Beck's fox show to be "axed"
Beck's not actually being axed, especially when he holds the title with Fox for the third highest rated cable TV program. Fox is actually losing out on this one as Beck wants to pursue other goals, which he talked briefly about this morning on his radio program. The Chairman of Fox only had good things to say about him.
He has some sort of partnership with Fox through his production company Mercury Radio Arts, no idea what he'll be doing but I'm sure he'll be digging into history and promoting America/God as usual. He's a good guy.

Glenn Beck makes a heck of a lot of sense. At least he researches his material before going on air. He will be missed. I think he hit some sour notes about certain subjects and they want to keep him quiet. Granted he's said some interesting statements, I think his program did a good job talking on a lot of points that the liberal media as well as Fox was too scared to bring up. For example, the 12th Imam/Mahdi, the danger of George Soros, and a multitude of other topics.

Oh dear your god, so much comedic gold in this thread, I don't know where to start. I think I may just wait for Fov or Wicked to post while I'm laughing my ass off.

Don't get me wrong, Beck is a whack-job......but I'm willing to bet that he has more listeners in two hours than NPR does all day. He alone eclipsed anything Air America could put on the air.
You can keep laughing.....but the smart idea is to wonder what he is going to do next. He obviously influences quite a few people. I bet the left wish they had someone half as popular and influential....but they don't....not even close.

Left wing is a funny phrase seeing as how I voted for Bush and McCain.
I will continue to laugh at crazy people as it's all I can do. Fanatics don't change their minds much. There's nothing I can do there. It's like when something horrible happens. You're too shocked to cry or scream. The only thing you can do is laugh at the insanity of it all.
I do wonder what that hate monger will do next, and it scares me. He's more dangerous than any terrorist with his rhetoric for he stirs the pot of intolerance.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
