    Although I was clarifying that he was actually saying that he pays the top rate.     Up to 2 years ago i made between 180 and 205. So technically your assumption was not incorrect.

    I disagree. I pay taxes in a recession just like I pay them in a booming economy, but you pick any year you like, as long as the data's there.

    Yeah but there would be an additional 40 to 50 million people also paying taxes that would normally if they weren't out of work.
