Wild IHOP fight video
(ATLANTA) An off-duty Atlanta police officer got into a scuffle with a woman and punched her in the face, and the early morning incident at a Buckhead IHOP was captured on video, the Atlanta Police Department confirmed.
I want to know why he smacked her in the face in the first place instead of restraining her. I don't think that is police protocol. Especially with a woman. Natural human reaction male or female is fight or flight, so they punish her for that with strikes to the head?
dogcrap.

Re: Wild IHOP fight video
Tough scenario, but I couldn't make any conclusions off of this because I don't know what lead up to the hit. People watching already surrounded the incident, so there is time to develop beforehand. The police had to get there, if they weren't already there, so theres time. So we're looking at something that potentially had 10-15+ minutes to brew. A lot could happen during that time.
Would a taser been more appropriate?

Re: Wild IHOP fight video
I think the bald cop to the right should have restrained her as soon as she put her hands on the other cops shoulder. To strike her in the head right off the bat is uncalled for.
There was no weapons showing so it was unarmed combat.
I might feel different if it was a guy but a woman?

Re: Wild IHOP fight video
yea, i don't know if i can draw any conclusions either, looked like she was either resisting arrest, or aiding someone resisting arrest. i guess a taser would have worked better.
anyway it would really, really suck to be face down on the average ihop floor...
looking at it in slow mo... man he really winds up to punch her back. that looks much more like blind retaliatory rage than a cop trying to restrain a woman.
and what exactly was he trying to do anyway? was he pulling the guy out of the booth? lol! seems like she was trying to convey to the officer that that wasn't going to work.
