Editorial I just read this morning

Interesting to say the least. Not sure I agree with all of it but the author does make some good points.

The guy that wrote that comes off as very ignorant about history and how things work in the real world IMHO.
But I do agree with his statement about war against Pakistan. If we attacked Afghanistan because their government was harboring OBL, why is Pakistan off the hook for the same crime?

Because we threatened Pakistan with the rallies, demonstrations and uprisings that are going on all over the Mid East right now. It was either that or you give us Osama. Osama was their fee to stay in power.

It also might have something to do with the fact that they have nuclear weapons.

There was a magical-realist quality to Osama Bin Laden. He looked like the risen Christ, and was often thought dead and came always back to life.
    funny comparison...

I pretty much agree with him

The only part i "sorta" agree on with this article is the burial part. However, would this guy rather have had a statue be raised for Osama to have people flock to worship all of the evil he brought to America and the world? He tries to pull off a pity party for Osama's family and make it sound like they are the victims. HA...HA...HA! A monument of any kind for Osama would be a slap in the face to the US AND the world. A reminder of the 3000+ innocent men, women, and children he had murdered? Fuck that! And frankly, i don't give a damn if he was armed or not! What do we do? Take him into custody and throw him into Guantanamo Bay? He'll get three square meals a day and better health care than some elderly in the US are receiving! How long would he be there before he paid for his crimes? Osama bin Laden was, without a doubt, too dangerous to be kept alive. His death has already caused two of his number 2 guys to turn themselves in. His death has worked in rattling the cage of Al-Queda and it will continue to work. I do feel that Obama is being a little shady with not releasing photos of bin Laden's body. He thinks it'll cause a National Security risk? I think we're already past that Mr. President. The photos, gruesome as they may be, will give the US and the families of 9/11 victims the closure they need.
