    Presidential Nominees for 2012

Used to be the CEO of Godfather's Pizza. Has never run in any political office. Had some solid answers and vision. Maybe this is what the doctor ordered, a non politician. He has answers to problems and knows that we are on a failed policy and a down hill slide and wants government out of business's business, like so many others. I love his statement here; “I’m proud of the fact quite frankly that I haven’t held public office before,” he said. “How’s that working for you? We have a mess. How about sending a problem-solver to the White House?” I like him.... Herman Cain.

U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, Solid guy and seems to have real vision and would be a good leader.

Tim Pawlenty was a really good solid guy as well and sees things for as they are wants them fixed and has solutions to do so.

Ron Paul said this when ask about legalizing marijuana and other drugs; “If we legalized heroin tomorrow, everybody's going to use heroin. How many people here would use heroin if it was legal? I bet nobody. 'Oh, yeah, I need the government to take heroin,' ”

These candidates did not show up for the party, which in my opinion was a very important party, but who knows, may be part of their strategy, but I think they should have made it a point, if they are going to run and they include former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

I think it will be interesting to see which way the Republican primary will go. Are they going to go for the Tea Party-type? That will get a lot of support from the base, but little support outside of it. Or will they go for the more centrist and calm-type? That will get a big "ugh..." from the base, but will attract more support outside of it.

I think the people want a president that holds true to his word, continues to combat terrorism, wants overhaul of the budget and have a plan to balance it, supports auditing the federal reserve, which has never been done, supports lower taxes, supports government to protect the people and uphold their rights of the constitution and get out of the private sector, supports using our resources for energy and hopefully supports, taking off the unbridled authority of the EPA, and supports job growth in America.

So, who gives a crap what they are associated with, like tea party or what not, as long as they hold dear to these values, I think we have a winner.

It does matter, though. Every Republican candidate will probably regurgitate that list of talking points you listed, but winning the Presidency depends on other factors, too. I'm sure Sarah Palin would agree with that list, but with her extremely high negatives, she wouldn't have a chance in hell of winning the election. None. People that focus on opposing gay marriage and abortion, decrying "socialism" at every turn, and generally being loud and bombastic are the tea party-type. Palin, Trump, Gingrich, Santorum, etc. The other side is the more calculating side. They focus more on the real issues and less on the other crap, and those are the more centrist and calm ones. People like John Huntsman, Jr. and Mitch Daniels.

So yes, I think it will be interesting to see which way the Republican primary decides to go.

I'm watching this very closely. If it's a Tea Party type, I will probably stop voting Republican for president like I have in the past.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

We have an economic disaster, with no end in site..... Who gives a crap about some dude wanted to rub another dudes ass ? ? ? ? You think that is a top priority issue to get the economy growing and get the unemployment out of the 10% range...?

What the heck..... You have no clue, just a limited view of your personal agenda that nobody gives a crap about and has nothing to do with the problems that we face today....

Your statement is like who got caught shoplifting in walmart today..... Nobody cares because it is irrelevant.

Exactly what it says..... The federal reserve has never been audited and with a brief look, there are some unexplained shortages and some pretty significant amounts. If we are going to get the budget under balanced control, we need to start with the bank and balance from there. We the people need an audit of the federal reserve bank.

No shit. Reread what I said. I agree that it shouldn't be an issue, but the tea party types try and make it an issue instead of focusing on the real issues.
