...and lack of integrity, character and judgement lead to other forms of misconduct. I also said I was torn so make sure you read and digest the whole post. I really do not think he should be fired but I also think people would be idiots to reelect him.
And do not spin my words around as you always do. I did not say anything about perfect and while you spinning it that way appears to help your side of the argument it is not what I said. Learn a new tactic.

How you say? "Boom, headshot."
His integrity is the question, which speaks to his sincerity and capability as a public official. Politicians, representing the interests of a broad spectrum of people, need to be above reproach (in my opinion) - if you are going to succumb to temptation, violate your marriage vows, disrespect your wife, then lie about it and try to cover it up...you have pretty much run out of gas in the integrity and credibility tank.
Wiener is one of my favorite Democrats, he is funny, personable, passionate, etc, etc...but he APPARENTLY lacks any integrity in his personal life, which makes me (and many other Democrats, btw) question his ability to be effective in his role as a politician.
If this was purely partisan, I would take it much less seriously...but look...even his own party is bailing on him.

When your own party questions your integrity to this degree, it is likely time to go.
Like it or not, most of the American public (Democrat and Republican alike) expects a higher degree of decorum from our elected officials. You are free to disagree, of course.

Re: Sex Scandal and Resignation
For some reason some peope confuse Public Service and Church Service.
There is no "moral code/oath" they are held too. I don't understand why people expect Congressional/Gov't Workers to have some kind of "halo" over their head.
Hell our last President was recovering Alcholic and Drug Addict of 20+ years. No one faulted him for it.
I think people are making alot nothing into something with Anthony Weiner thing."And the hits just keep on coming." - Tom Cruise, A Few Good Men

Re: Sex Scandal and Resignation
haha, from your link:
Gore and Clinton Illegal Too
Canadian attorney Darryl Larson maintains Bush has some notable company in the "inadmissible" category, contending that Canadian law bans both President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore.
"If you admit to having smoked marijuana," Larson explains, "You have admitted to an unlawful act. That would allow reasonable grounds for our immigration officers to determine that you have broken a law that, if committed in Canada, would be subject to prosecution and therefore falls under this law. So this would apply to both Clinton and Gore."
I dont see anything on that page about lies, liars, or lying though. Getting arrested is a pretty public record...who did he lie to about it? (I dont know - asking)
