Re: Self defense or murder?
Sorry, no.
The criminal doesn't even have the right to be there. You have the right to shoot him. Hmmmmm... Maybe it's just me, but forfeiting the right to life isn't so fair compared to some don't shoot when he's running BS. You have the right to defend yourself with a weapon, meaning you're MILES ahead.
Up here in Canada, we can't even point an unloaded gun at someone. Quit yer bitchin'. Talk about having the right to finish off such criminals is fuel for gun control fiends.

I've shot at people who crossed my gals barbed wire fences... they haven't come back. I think they were some drunk teenagers trying to cow tip. I'm sure a few of them had some buckshot in their asses and their vehicle is peppered to shit.
We called the sherriff and told him about it, and he said good, but we should of shot off more rounds. God bless Texas.

Re: Self defense or murder?
So your in canada discussing laws in the us? Either way anyone that has anything to do with the law will tell you the very same thing. Laws are not set up to protect the innocent they are set up to protect the guilty. Thats precisely why criminals get away with shit without going to jail.
Its not fuel for gun control. Its saying we've had enough of this bullshit and its time for criminals to pay for their actions.

Re: Self defense or murder?
Yeah, I'm in Canada. What's wrong with that? You some sort of racist?
Laws are set up to protect the guilty? Move past law enforcement into the courts, and you may hear a different tune.
I remember your stance on the death sentence... Kill 'em with no right to appeals to save tax payer's dollars. No care whether the accused was ACTUALLY innocent, and in another state at the time. It's all about the money, not true justice.
Respect for human life should be a given. That's what laws are there for, thankfully. You're backing criminal actions when you support the man who shot an unconscious person 5 times. That's a helluva line to cross.

Re: Self defense or murder?
Guess i never thought about being racist towards canadians. lol Seriously no just the laws are probably a bit different.
Im talking about the courts. Law enforcement has its job and place. They merely bring in those that might be guilty of a crime. Its the courts that bagum and tagum. To many times has a technicality gotten someone off that should have been in jail.
No you remember part of my stance on the death penalty. Save the money if there is no doubt they commited the crime. Move them from the court room to the closet containing the chair.
Respect human life absolutely but if that person has disregarded someone elses by commiting armed robbery or whatever with a weapon then hell no. That person has made their choice and choose to take that chance.

Re: Self defense or murder?
Refusing to accept the Canadian race is 100% racist.
I'm fairly aware of your laws, even if you aren't of ours. Hence why I talked about Canadian law as comparison.
Fair enough, Deathgod... I never thought you expressed exactly that in the 'death sentence' thread, but I could have missed it.
Rock, I think the woman in the OP stabbed/shot both men around/in her home. What probably got her under the microscope is not reporting it. Investigators came, and found a body on her property two days later.
