HOA Halts Construction of Paralyzed Army Vet's Home

"It wasn't supposed to turn out this way. "This is the total opposite of what usually happens," said John Gonsalves, president and founder of Homes for Our Troops, a nonprofit that builds homes for injured veterans. "We've met every requirement they've asked for"

"This could have been a done deal had they just gotten us the paperwork," said Rick Trump, president of the Knob Hill Homeowners Association, during a phone interview. "Who's really to blame here? Is it that we blocked them or that they're disorganized and don't have everything they need?"

I dont really care if a piece of paper was missing. It could have been handled by requesting the paper again while construction went under way. I think its less about the paperwork and more toward the thought of this particular family. What a piece of shit that HOA is.

Its funny, you say its the peoples fault for not having the right permits to hand out food to the homeless... then you totally contradict yourself with this thread.
If they didn't have the proper paperwork, well guess what... doesn't matter if you're a vet or not. Rules are rules. Does it suck? Of course. But disabled vets aren't above anything.

No my point is i think they did get the paperwork but the HOA doesn't want the home built in that neighborhood. Thats not a contradiction. Your also talking about 2 completely different animals. Construction jobs go on every day with missing paper work or lost paperwork or late inspections. What they dont do is work missing the permit to build. Plus one is a government agency and the other is just an HOA.
