These are facts, the overwhelming majority of Iraqis don't want us there and the majority of Americans don't want us there either.

Yes it seems there is a direct correlation between the amount of time spent at war and the support of the war. The longer it takes, the more people begin to lose faith and they begin to question the purpose.

Of course they want us gone. Our job is done and being there serves no purpose. Everyone I know who was there(and by there I mean deployed/fighting) at the beginning of the war always talks about happy the populace was that we were there.

I have a couple of Coast Guard friends. People can mock the Coast Guard all they want....something tells me they don't have the balls to be out in tropical storms and floods saving peoples lives. Not to mention dealing with the drug cartels all the time like the Coast Guard does.
