    Jay Carney spouting bull

Saw this on Pulse, and this was the first article I could find (yes its the Huffington Post, but it does a pretty good job covering it).
Jay Carney, Despite Evidence, Says Economists Didn't Know How Bad The Recession Would Get [WATCH]

The problem is that the evidence doesn't support his claim.

"There was not a single mainstream, Wall Street, academic economist who knew at the time, in January of 2009, just how deep the economic hole was that we were in,"
It goes on to point out how bullshit that is. To be honest I remember hearing (more then once) that the watered down stimulus congress passed (and President Obama signed) wasn't near enough to make a significant effect that would limit the tailspin. I seriously hope President Obama doesn't believe this, and it is just Carney spinning shit like a good press secretary.

    Re: Jay Carney spouting bull

I think Most economists with half a brain saw the housing bubble and Knew it was going to pop. That IS afterall what Caused this recession/depression. The next dip in our economy will come from the collapse of the Euro and if you can't see this coming your as blind as the so called "eonomists" that Jay Carney sites. We are by No Means out of this "recession" not even close even though Carney sites 20 months of "positive" economic growth. Its also BS that the unemployment rate went Down as much as they claim too !
