At least I can take solace in that the Hornets are (probably) better than the Wizards. I haven't seen such a dysfunctional team before. The ony one with anything above abysmal decision making is Wall. The others constantly shoot terrible shots, have horrible passing vision, and commit just the worst fouls. It is truly amazing how poorly they play.

NBA NEWS
Forward Jeff Green had successful surgery Monday at the Cleveland Clinic to repair an aeortic aneurysm, discovered by the Celtics medical staff during a routine entrance physical in December.
Coach Doc Rivers received the news following practice on Monday from team president Danny Ainge.
"Surgery went well," Rivers said. "They're saying it went great. Obviously, our thoughts, our prayers and every part of our being is with Jeff right now."
Green was acquired in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder at the trade deadline last season that sent center Kendrick Perkins to the Thunder. Green figured to be a key player for the Celtics this season, as the first man off the bench.
Also Monday, new Celtics forward Mickael Pietrus guaranteed that he'll make his Boston debut on Wednesday when the Celtics play host the Dallas Mavericks. Pietrus missed the season's first two weeks after rehabilitation of arthroscopic right knee surgery.Last edited by paulsmith; 01-10-12 at 03:18 PM.

Haven't been following as much xD, but do have a bit of a fantasy question. Basically I got offered:
I Get
Blake Griffin
Hawes
Al Harrington
I Give up:
Gallinari
Al Jefferson
Gortat
I'm leaning no, because it seems like I'd give up too many categories in that trade for a slight gain in a couple. By the way its roto with these cats: FG%, FT%, 3PM, Blocks, Assists, Rebounds, Steals, Points.

I did check out basketball reference last night by the way, and holy hell its impressive the amount of depth in stats over there. I was wishing there was something for college teams, I was trying to use the Four Factors to compare a couple teams but couldn't find where to find touches (even just an average would be useful).
It was like my other stat geek joy I found earlier this year for Baseball, FanGraphs.

Gustavo Ayon is looking pretty good in his limited minutes. Good instincts and knows how to position himself on offense. Not a good free throw shooter and is still getting used to some of the rules in the NBA (3 second rule, mainly). Hasn't been with the team long, so he is still figuring out rotations and how the other guys play on offense. Looks like he will be a solid sixth-man by the end of the year.
