Thread: Noobs who decide to learn how to play during primetime

In the evening when the server is bumping and FULL is not the right time to learn how to plant the bomb, buy weapons, or jump. If you can't play the game, learn in an empty server. People like this just take up slots in the server that good regs could be using.

I HIGHLY Disagree with this post. At TTP we are about spreading our vision to the masses so someone who maybe just got the game and stumbles onto our server we should be MORE supportive of them and teach them our ways....

You shouldn't insult them you should tell um how to put this server on there favorites and how to plant the bomb and buy stuff.... If they have a good experience the first time then most likely they will be here to stay forever.

If you insult them and they leave well then we just lost a potential reservist/Reg.

My 2 cents.

I disagree. I think Newbies should be cultivated and encouraged at all time, and what better way to learn the game than squaring off against regulars, people who know the game and are good enough to give them some help?

On the other hand, "Noobs", people who are new but refuse help, should be stamped out, and should not play ever.

And no one gets good without some practice against these "good regs". So give them a break, and remember you were new once.

I do not agree at all with this post.

As a teamplayer, as a regular of TTP it is your job to make even a new players experience one that will bring him back to the server. As a teamplayer, you should take the responsibility to take that person under your wing and show them how to play and how we do things around here. Like Benandorf said, if you try and teach them and they don't want to learn then they aren't teamplayers and don't belong here anyway. But everyone should be given the chance to learn and not get ridiculed just because they are new to the game.

Negative. Noob with bomb standing in T spawn on Dust1 while the entire team rushes sneaky thinking the bomb is with them(and gets slaughtered) is not a good TTP experience.

Yes. Ask Smoken, or Bigdog or SJT for that matter, how they would feel rushing tunnels as T on Dust1 to find that some noob who can't play is still back in spawn, holding the bomb.

If you can't play, learn when regs who don't have reserve slots aren't fighting just to get into the server!

I disagree. When I first started playing on this server, it was primetime and I was a noob...probably still am in some aspects. However, despite my inexperience and high death tolls I learned a lot at these times. Primetime is when the best players take part, which quite often equates to the best teachers as well. It's the perfect opportunity to show people how we believe the game should be played...the TTP way
