Heres hoping there isnt a bbq tomorrow.
Some of you know i had to run new wires while everyone else was at quakecon. Well after finally resolving every electrical problem aside from 1 in this place my plan is to fix that last one tomorrow. So i have to replace the breaker box tomorrow.
Man if i shock myself im gonna be so pissed off. I use to think nothing scares me but this one definitely makes me nervous. What the hell its only 200 amps right.

It isnt even really that much less work. The only thing you dont end up doing is popping the additional breakers into their slots. You still have to run all the wire and hook them all up. The only thing i can think is he saved 20 or 30 bucks on the smaller box and the other 4 breakers. Then though i have to consider that he used an outdoor box which costs more.

Oh yeah i almost forgot the best part. He bought a power cut off box. You know the ones where you throw the switch on the side to shut everything down. Well he wired that after the breaker box and wired it only to the bathroom. So its already disconnected and hanging on the wall doing nothing becase i already reran those wires.

My guess is it was done in 54 and done by the owner. It predates alot of electrical codes. The guy just didnt know what he was doing. I found wires where he ran out of one color and just ran two wires in the same color. My multimeter has had a work out on this shit.
